Old Souls is ...

Guillermo Mendoza - Guitar

Eric Bloom - Guitar/Vocals

Christy Merry - Vocals

Steven Kelly Denman - Drums/Percussion

Steven's recent projects spanned the distance between live drumming with D.J. Shark Drum & Grace (world music, rock, disco, funk & soul) for several years to playing with other bands: The Sir Charles Blues Lab (Hollywood, 2001), Back Alley Band (Hollywood, 1998) & The Mojo Monks (Long Beach, CA, 1995-97). He is the oldest soul of the Old Souls & it is rumored that he still uses a rotary phone.

Eric was a professional actor for awhile but decided he needed more financial security, so he formed a band. He likes cheeseburgers, nudity & dry heat. But seriously . . .

"If music be the food of love, play on... Give me excess of it, that surfeiting, the appetite may sicken and die."

- Shakespeare, Twelfth Night

Christy had been a lead singer in a folk-alternative-groove college band called Thursday James a million years ago (1997 to be exact) and her singing has mainly been confined to shower, bus & sidewalk venues in the intervening years before joining Old Souls. As in - she sang in the shower, on the bus, and walking on the sidewalks. Pretty much.
